2022 Festival Rules

JAZZ VOCAL SOLO

REGISTER
  1. Students entering the Jazz Vocal Solo Category must be registered by their school director or other school official.
  2. Students will submit their vocal video recordings consisting of 2 vocal selections of varying styles by May 1, 2022. Each selection should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
  3. All recordings should be live recordings without editing or intonation adjustments.
  4. The top 10 finalists’ videos will be showcased on the NJF YouTube channel.

INSTRUMENTAL JAZZ SOLO

REGISTER
  1. Students entering the Instrumental Jazz Solo Category must be registered by their school director or other school official.
  2. Students will submit their video recordings consisting of 2 selections of varying styles by May 1, 2022. Each selection should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
  3. All recordings should be live recordings without editing or intonation adjustments.
  4. All instrumental soloist participants’ videos will be showcased on the NJF YouTube channel.
