Audition for the
NJF Jazz Diplomats
INSTRUMENTAL JAZZ SOLO
We are excited to bring this opportunity for the first time to the in-person 2023 festival. Rather than an Instrumental Soloist Category, we are holding auditions for the new band, the NJF Jazz Diplomats. If chosen, the student will be expected to attend the in-person festival for rehearsals and an exciting performance.
- Students entering the Instrumental Jazz Solo Category must be registered by their school director or other school official. Registration deadline 1/13/2023.
- Students will submit their video recordings consisting of 2 selections of varying styles by 1/13/2023. Each selection should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
- All recordings should be live recordings without editing or intonation adjustments.
- You will be notified of results on 2/1/2023. Fee to be paid on acceptance $25.
