★ Band directors must sponsor the student as indicated in the registration below.

★ Registration fee of $50 includes NJF Jazz Diplomats/Ambassadors T-shirt and a hoagie for dinner!  

★ Please submit video(s) recording of 5 minutes or less in length, demonstrating your strengths, within a week after registering (doesn't have to be professional). Make sure you:
1.) Play a Bb or F blues scale.

2.) Perform a favorite Jazz song of your choice.

Perform the melody. IMPROVISE  IF INTERESTED OF POSSIBLY BEING SELECTED AS A SOLOIST!

Any of the very popular Aebersold recordings or other backing tracks available via YouTube  or  I Real Pro is a neat way to create a backing track or use 1 of the many they have available.

Once we accept, your registration you must be willing to participate in these online help sessions to prepare the songs: 

March 18th: 6:45-8:00pm ET

March 25th: 6:45-8:00pm ET

April 1st: 6:45-8:00pm ET

April 8th: 6:45-8:00pm ET

We may also be offering a (non-mandatory) evening rehearsal at the Historic Clef Club of Jazz on April 16th and will have more info available. The rehearsals at the festival on April 17th, 2027 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center are mandatory, but will not conflict with any of your schools NJF performances.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work with peers from different schools and perform at the 2027 NJF Festival Awards Ceremony!
