For seven years the National Jazz Festival has successfully provided colleges and universities the opportunity to recruit and network with thousands of students and teachers from all over America and multiple international locations.

Collegiate performing ensembles are NOT limited by size and are NOT competitive

 

The 2027 National Jazz Festival has three (3) Collegiate Programs Available

April 15 or 16  Symposium Performance with April 17 Recruitment Table 

Registration Fee $675

Our 2nd Annual Collegiate & Community Band Jazz Symposium slated for April 15, 16, 17 2027 will feature world famous Jazz trombonist and popular clinician Doug Elliot. NJF partner, the Clef Club of Jazz, will host Collegiate and Community vocal & band performances on April 15 or 16. Your group will perform at one of the most historic Jazz venues in the world! Participation fee is $675.00 and includes a 1-hour performance/clinic jam session with NJF artist Doug Elliot. Your NJF registration includes an 8’ x 30” recruitment table in our Exhibit Area April 17th event held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Registration Fee $750.00

 

New for April 17th 2027:  Perform a 40 minute performance slot at the fabulous Pennsylvania Convention Center then interact with visiting NJF students and directors in an exciting day of Jazz performances and clinics. Coltrane Package 40 minute Performance slot includes our popular NJF advertisement and exhibitors “Gold Package” , a Full 4.5” x 7” page advertisement in our “Event Program” ,an 8’ x 30” recruitment table in our Exhibit Area and a complementary group picture of your ensemble.

"Benny Golson" NJF & Professors Partnership:

REGISTRATION FEE IS $1000

Contact NJF to discuss becoming one of our many NJF clinicians & adjudicators via our NJF & Professors Partnership: Our Partnership offers participating professors your own NJF room with a 2.5 hour time slot that provides hands-on opportunities for Professors and department representatives to meet and interact with prospective students. Even hold auditions! Registration fee includes “Your Universities” own NJF room for 2.5 hours and a full page ad in the 2027 “Event Program”  Total cost is $1000.00. (a $500.00 savings)

"Larry McKenna" Intern Option:

​

NJF is offering your band and vocal students the opportunity to intern for the 8th Annual High School/Middle School National Jazz Festival Vocal & Instrumental Divisions on April 17th, at the fabulous Pennsylvania Convention Center. Your members can volunteer as Jazz ambassadors representing your college or community music program. Each of them will work closely with our outstanding NJF staff by assisting pre-festival and day of behind the scenes festival logistics. They will learn what it takes to schedule a  full day of educational clinics, adjudication, Jam sessions, adjudication, Awards ceremonies and over 60 live performances. This experience can not only be added to their professional resume as a staff member for one of the nation's largest Jazz Festivals but perpetuates our beloved art form for generations to come!  NJF Volunteers receive their name and college affiliation in our “Event Program Book” and more!  A great opportunity for you and your students to connect with some of the finest HS/MS ensembles from the region and the nation!
